Hair coloring?

i colored my hair yesterday a burgundy but i don't like it. can i dye it plum today. plum is what i should have chosen i like plum color better anyway . my hairline edges are very gray and that bugundy took wery well to it and looks nasty on my edges, i think the plum would look better. my question can i color over a day later my hair is natural, i think i did this years ago color it the next day
