Please articulate why a wide, cross-section of Americans follow Oprah Winfrey?

Because it's easy to listen to somebody else tell you how to live your life. Nobody wants individual responsibility. Dumbed down mes. God forbid someone were to read a book of their choice rather than what the almighty O tells them to read. Or vote for someone other than who O tells them to. The whole thing is ridiculous.
