How do I find myself?

I'm like a blob of clay that hasn't been shaped into anything. There are things I like and dislike, but my friends and family seem to have some well defined interests and seem comfortable just being themselves. I kind of follow their interests when I'm with them, but they're not really my interests. I'm the cliche of being neither fish nor fowl. I can't really articulate who I am or what I want or what I'm into. I don't know where to begin.
